AIBU?

to think that Haribo are in fact laxatives in disguise

I love Haribo as much as the next child adult and bought myself a rare bag as a treat today. It has struck me that after a brief moment of chewy, sweet, gummy pleasure comes an afternoon of tummy trouble. I'm sure I heard someone else speak of this on here the other day. They are evil.

Does anyone else experience this or AIBU?

Also is it wrong to go out and buy another bag when I know the effects they will have?

If you have those effects then you should buy another 10 bags as you don't need to worry about the calories. lucky cow

OH NO! I have just eaten almost a whole bagful! So far the only side-effect is feeling hyper and exhausted at the same time Confused

Charming shitter. I merely have a rumbly tum thank you very much.

Josie, if you do feel any negative side effects we can set up a support group.

Off to buy another 10 bags.

Might be the sugar if you're not used to it? I don't really have a sweet tooth, but on the rare occasion I have, say, a dessert at a party, it 'gets everything moving' for me! Blush

Sugar free Polos do that to me - sorbitol is evil. With the Haribo, was it the fizzy ones? DD gets a sore tummy sometimes if she overdoes it with sour fizzy sweets.

No but now I'm craving the fizzy ones!

I don't eat much sugar. It could be that. Although 'nettles' are listed in the ingredients, I think as a food dye. Blimey. Can you imagine that as a job title. 'I'm a nettle farmer for Haribo sweets inc.'
