To think it might have been suicide

I am wondering if it was drugs or suicide that took Amy, she was being booed off stage and her boyfriend had recently finished with her, or should I just keep my thoughts to myself?

Keep them to yourself. It may well have been but what's the point in speculating on Mumsnet?

I suspect its a bit more complex than 'drugs or suicide'. No doubt there will be an inquest.

How is se any more a ghoul than the millions of others with the same thoughts?

I think it's a perfectly reasonable query tbh. Don't believe it was suicide but the OP has as much right to ponder the matter as anyone else has to poo poo it.

You didnt know her so how on earth can you form such an opinion? From the papers?

The news was reporting that it is Jewish tradition for the funeral to happen today and they are trying to make that happen for her family's sake. The poor father has had to fly home from America knowing his DD has died. I do feel for the family and think it's very sad that she couldn't get her life together despite her talen.

most people have the common sense to keep stuff like that in their head. but hay lets just start another thread to talk about a woman who died.

it's a tragic death, i find it ghoullish to want to debate the possible cause

It's unexplained as yet so you might be right. Even if it is an overdose it still might be deliberate, only she knows and she can't tell us now.

Well done on forming an opinion based on tabloid fodder.

But really, how is it any of your business? If it were suicide it would be reported as so.

we don't need police, we have the mumsnet ghouls, they can reach conclusions and make them fact. brilliant, we can save a fortune on wages

OP has formed an opinion - or in this case surmising - because she is human, and we all do it to various degrees about things. It looks as if some of you here think its wrong - fair enough, but in my opinion its not "right" or "wrong" just human nature. Im sure suicide has crossed lots of peoples minds - why shouldnt it be discussed - this is a discussion board after all.

To those with claims of me believing the tabloids, jumping to conclusions and forming opinions.

I repeat I was wondering

it is aibu, so yes I can post that she is a ghoul and that this thread is in bad taste.

of course it was suicide one way or another

she must have been warned thousands of times she wouldnt last long on that lifestyle, but she either thought oh well hey ho, or i will start getting clean tomorrow, or no not me, I am invincible. Whatever, she had the means and opportunity to get help but chose not to.

sleep I think it does go to show just how hard it must be to come off drugs. She had everything financially, lived in a £2m+ home but still couldn't get off them. I hope some good comes of this in that youngsters will look at her and think twice before starting on drugs.
