OK. You need to wash your dirty hands, so you use those same filthy hands to turn the taps on, squirt a bit of soap on your hands, wash them and then use your nice clean hands to turn off the very same tap your manky digits have just turned on. How the fuck does having a hands-free soap dispenser make your hands cleaner? I just don't get it.

Not only that but if their product was that good, touching the 'germ ridden' pump at the top of the old dispensers wouldn't be a problem would it...I mean you're going to wash the germs off aren't you? Lol

Just more crap aimed at the already hysterical anti germ brigade who end up fucking their kids immune systems up.

You want to try going on a cruise, now they ARE hysterically obsessed about hand washing.

It drove me insane and irritated the hell out of me!

Yabu they are extremely hygienic, yeah, just like the ones in motorway services, where you have hands free flush, hands free soap, hands free water, and doors you have to touch
I hate the advert, and really don't get the point. So YANBU!!!!!!!

The only benefit I could possibly think of is if you have LO's who are reluctant to wash their hands. They might think it's quite cool so wash without so much fuss.
But that's really stretching my imagination.

Drives me mad! I cannot abide those stupid flaming adverts and refuse to buy it. Although I do have one now. DH saw how riled I was and brought one home as a "special present". Twat. Grin

I am a past master at using public loos without actually touching anything with my hands Blush

I still think the hands free soap things are a load of bollocks though.

If you're not using your hands what are you touching then with coz wouldn't the terns be there and not you hands?

Awomancalledhorse · 22/07/2011 19:35

Phew! I thought I was going mad/more stupider as I felt like the only person who didn't get it.

FabbyChic · 22/07/2011 19:36

Pointless as you have to dry your hands on something, and what you dry your hands on will not be germ free even if just washed.

Report
FabbyChic · 22/07/2011 19:36

If it was self drying cleaner it would work.

mousesma · 22/07/2011 19:39

I think this has been done before and the consensus was that its good for people who only have use of one hand but madness for anyone ese to buy.

KittyBump · 22/07/2011 19:40

Yadnbu but I do have one! In a confused post partum fog I bought one thinking it dispensed hand sanitiser rather than soap. I thought that it would be pretty useful to have next to the changing mat, turns out it wasn't so useful having a splurge of liquid soap in my hand and a squirmy baby to pick up :)

I would love the Radox brand manager to come on and explain what it's all about. I would equally love to know how much of the stuff they are shifting...seems to me too niche a proposition for the mass marketing campaign being thrown at it. I am sure they've done their research though! Maybe there are just a whole load more of germ obsessed people out there than I imagine.

Meant Dettol not Radox. Apologies Radox brand managers... Grin

My Nana has horrific arthritis in her hands, it would be good for her, I suppose.

They advertise it as less germy though, not easy to use.
