It's my DD's last day at school tomorrow as we're moving house. We're both terribly upset but the move had to come as we can't afford to live where we're living and I need to be nearer to my dad (as my mother passed away a few months ago) and DP will be nearer to work. We won't be that far away but I know how difficult it is to stay in touch even with the best intentions! I am awful at saying goodbye and even worse when I see my DD upset - argh why does life have to be bloody difficult!

Kids are resilient - she'll be fine. I moved at 8 and 14 and it was not easy, particularly the second time, but I was fine.
