to be eating a spoon of Betty Crocker vanilla buttercream for no apparent reason?

Background- DCs are in bed and I am waiting for the final of the Apprentice to start. I wander into the kitchen (as you do) and open a (random, honestly I did not know the icing was there!) cupboard and spot an unopened jar of sickly sweet, creamy, whippy american style frosting.

I don't know why but I opened it and took a spoonful and ate it. Now feel guilty. Do you think this will become a habit? Will I be forced to go back for more while I watch the Apprentice? No other adult @home to witness my possible bingeing on frosting.

Is this unreasonable behaviour or perfectly normal?

I'm becoming even more depraved with you lot egging me's my train of thought-

would quite fancy a spoon of chocolate buttercream, but don't have any. so would it be unreasonable to add some cocoa powder to the vanilla buttercream?grin

I just ate half a packet of oaty hobnobs. They were bloody lovely. And there is another packet in the larder. Must resist, must resist....

Surely the oats are good for my heart or summink?

seeitoldyou Sun 17-Jul-11 20:59:49

And I wonder why I'm no longer size 10 hmm

Beccabop Sun 17-Jul-11 21:00:26

...youve made me think about taking a spoon to the delightful jar of peanut butter sitting in the cupboard..

Meglet Sun 17-Jul-11 21:01:38

Yabu. You should be eating the chocolate one.

I have a tub in the cupboard to use up. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Mmmmmmm <<Homer simpson style dribbling>>

MarkStretch too safe- half a packet?! not exactly pushing the boat out. In fact, I'm sure half a packet of oaty biscuits is ok under any circumstances grin

youmeatsix Sun 17-Jul-11 21:03:19

i bought it, tasted it and binned it
back to making it myself

BelleDameSansMerci Sun 17-Jul-11 21:03:49

YABU but only because it's disgusting... <shudders>

seeitoldyou Sun 17-Jul-11 21:04:35

youmeatsix yes I agree and this is where the 'adding cocoa' idea came from!! There is method in my madness smile

MarkStretch Sun 17-Jul-11 21:07:01

I have a pot of chocolate frosting in the larder too, maybe I could spread it on the hobnobs, or create an oaty, chocolately biscuit sandwich!
