In future do your scrambled eggs in the microwave (30secs or so per egg) they don't smell when done that way.

Eggs do smell when you hard-boil them, even if fresh. You are more sensitive to it because of your pregnancy (congrats!) - now you know hard boiled eggs are off the menu for you for a while!

General - egg mayo sandwiches are made from hard boiled eggs, not scrambled! They taste different! That would be yuk! I like the chunks of egg! And cress ... on nice brown bread .... yum!

biddy - the advice to buy a pre-packaged sandwich is good, just be prepared to put it down again in disgust as soon as you break open the packaging, but it's worth a try if you are really craving that food.

When I was first pregnant I read not to eat prepacked sarnies.

Could you bear to peel them, perhaps with a peg on your nose, and then you could leave them in the garden for the birds/cats/foxes/ other wildlife?

That way at least someone is eating them and they also won't be in the bin continuing to smell.

I know this but if you can't stomach the smell of a hard boiled egg then it's a quick fix.

Is the mayonnaise freshly made or from a jar?
