by a car park attendant!!!!!!

Yes a car park attendant.

I dropped Alfie (DS2) at nursery - (his nursery is in the hospital grounds), 10 mins walk from my house, i went in the car as i dropped Jack (DS1) at school first which is further away.

I couldnt park in one of the designated parking bays because there were a van with its bonnet up, a car parked there and a hospital transport van parked ACROSS the other bay. So i parked at the side of another car opposite the nursery.

As i was driving out of the nursery part, a car park attendant (dressed in a uniform, thinks hes a copper, that kinda thing) flagged me down to stop. So i stopped then he said

'2 things, this car park is a 15mph zone, i dont appreciate you doing 30, 35, 40mph into the grounds and secondly you cant park there, where you just parked.'

So i said '1stly, i didnt exactly speed, i was doing 20mph, there was a car in front of me (i know 5mph over the limit but not the speed he said i was doing) then i said ''and secondly the car park is full, where else am i to park?'
then i said
''wheres the signs?''
He said
''Over there - whilst pointing.'' (which are not do not park here signs they are dangerous equipment in this building signs)

so i said ''well they need to be bigger''
Then as he was walking off he shouted

''You have glasses, you can read''

Grrrr so i shouted 'you WHAT?' and he said it again

So i just shouted 'ohh fuck off'

Its made me very angry now. iv told DH and DH said 'ohh looks like im coming with you to pick Alfie up then'

Grrrr who does he think he is. Hes a ticket attendant ffs. yeah i admit i was speeding 5mph over the limit but FM calling me blind?? Theres no need for that. I probably am BU but there was no need for his attitude, if he had just come up to me to talk, rather than lecture and abuse me then fair do's but he didnt.

YABU. You were over the speed limit in a car park where there are small children and you parked where you shouldn't, you could have waited for a space or left the car park and found somewhere else to park.

If I told my husband he'd simply say dont speed and dont park where you shouldn't and you wont get 'told off'. He certainly wouldnt join me in idiocity by saying he was going with me when I picked my child up later. FFS.

YAB a little U I think... and also a little snotty...

Yes, the man is a parking attendant and it is HIS JOB to point out when you have done the incorrect thing.

I don't know why you keep mentioning his job title in a way which makes out you consider he is an ignorant oaf or a bit of poo on your shoe.

However I can see your point somewhat about his manner. It would have been better if he had spoken more politely to you although I wonder if he was reacting to an attitude he was picking up from you [that he was a piece of poo, how dare a lowly parking attendant tell me off!]

No? By a carpark attendant? Shock

Upstart! Get him fired immediately and make him parade through the streets tarred and feathered. I don't know what the merry fuck is going on with these kinds of people these days, but they need telling.

You poor dear. Have a Biscuit

He made the most of his moment of glory, I bet he loved it - but you did rather hand it to him on a plate by speeding, getting upset and parking in the wrong place.

Annoyingly yabu (but I sympathise)

I got told off by security in the British Museum, in front of dc, TWICE in one visit Blush

Once for sitting in the wrong placeConfused and again for looking like I was going to touch an exhibit. (I wasn't! I was trying to tell dc not to touch it and pointed at it whilst I was talking) Dc were ecstatic that it was mummy that'd got an earful for onceHmm

I dont like Biscuit so take it back.

Like i said he had just mentioned it rather than coming across all guns blazing then it would have been different but he isnt the police. He is an arrogant piece of shit. He also goes round the car park, checking cars - thats his job for out timed tickets. BUT i also caught him once taking my reg plate when i had only just parked up, walked to the other side of the car park (when using the hospital) to get a ticket, wehn i came back he was signing a parking ticket for me.
