I don't mind the Seven part but did they have to ruin the name Harper?

That's the name of the Beckham's child. Odd but no more peculiar than the others I suppose.

Damn, I should have put money on Harper! I thought that might be it, but reconsidered on the assumption that they'd go uber girly.

Sounds like a toilet cleaner

I assume it's after Harper Lee and no Harpers Bazaar?! Shock

OhBuggerandArse · 11/07/2011 07:02

Grr, too early in the morning. Beckham's MU shirt, not his shorts. Can you name a child after your shorts?

Report
CurrySpice · 11/07/2011 07:04

Yes "OhBuggerandArse"

Then you'd be called "Shorts"

MoaningMcMyrtlepants · 11/07/2011 07:04

I'd have thought they'd have gone more feminine although, I quite like it.

I think Harper is a gorgeous name. Very solid and traditional.

Report
HappyDoll · 11/07/2011 07:42

I quite like it, although the world seems hell bent on insisting its linked to Harpers Bazaar and ignoring the possible Harper Lee connection?!
She would be the 7th member of the family if they had previously lost a child as has been reported.

At least Harper is a proper girls' name, albeit american. They do have strong american connections. Better than Brooklyn and Cruz! Seven is....well a bit silly. I understand the idea, but why not find an actual name that means seven/seventh?

George Costanza's ideal baby name was Seven. Grin

Wonder if they have realised that her nickname will be Harpie..... (ugly winged bird-women in Greeek mythology - yes I had to look it up!)
