Do I

a) pick up DD's from school and nursery as normal, bring them home and watch a bit of telly/play before making them tea, putting them to bed and then tidying up before DH gets home so we can chill OR

b) pick up DD's, take them to a soft play place, buy them tea there and leaving the house nice and tidy so I don't have to do anything after bringing them home.

One issue is that I cannot bathe them tonight properly, only flannel washes (are doing up bathroom) but they are only 3 and 5 so don't get sweaty.

a or b please, and quick! Schools out in an hour!

Flip a coin. Heads is (a), tails is (b). Whichever way it comes down, if you're happy with the outcome, do that. If you're not happy with the outcome, do the other one.

b.. nice surprise for them and less work for you Grin i think you should get a fancy brew (if they do them there) as well

I'd rather be in my own home than softplay. The dc's would rather be at softplay than own home. You decide Grin

No really, go home, that's what I'd do.

A - soft play is the eight circle of hell.

I can afford b as this weekend we have lots of free stuff to do, I don't feel like cooking as my kitchen is clean for once Grin

Why toss a coin when I can rely on the MN jury!

Toss a coin and then you'll know what it is you really want to do rather than what a bunch of strangers want to do. Just a thought....

with B you can drink tea and read the paper (not NI). With A you can't. Just saying.

Report
notso · 07/07/2011 14:34

A unless you also enjoy soft play.

A. If the weather is nice where you are (as it is here) I would rather let them play in the garden - and you can have a picnic tea so there's no (hardly any) clearing up!

B. then you can read your book in peace and wont have to stress about cleaning the house.

cogito, I don't want to toss a coin, I am curious what others would do.

The weather is nice. For now. But knowing where I live I can't trust it to stay that way. PLus I can't take them to the local park / outside to play even if it is nice, we have a fire nearby that is toxic.
