AIBU?

chosen the name Libbi for their own brand of sanitary wear.

This is a common nickname for Elizabeth, albeit with a different spellings, and the one we use for my DD.

I don?t really want her growing up being called tampon etc.

So AIBU to think that Tesco should have put some thought into the brand name and not used an ACTUAL name especially for their more intimate products?

YANBU my friend has a daughter named Libby, she saw these in Tesco yesterday, and is pretty p*ssed off.

I really hope they dont become a household name like Tampax or Lilets.

I too would be annoyed if my child were called Libby, I cannot believe they didnt do more market research on this.
It's like naming condoms Archie or something!

Dear goddess my name is actually Dawn - try reading the Iliad or Odyssey at school (normal comp) with a name like that.

They didn't do it on purpose and ime children will find things to use as word weapons if they want to.
