Prob being very unreasonable to post on AIBU but hey its a sunday and quiet.......

I dont want white- got enough of those from first time round and DP wants this baby to have some clothes of its own at first so Im not buying white again when I have some already! (not same dad, can understand why, says he would feel the same even if second baby together)
The creams and beiges are just a little bland.

I just cant find anything thats reasonably priced - by which I mean £12ish for pack of 3. I did get a pack in M&S which were yellow/spotty/striped but that its.

John Lewis Unisex look a little boyish to me.
Mothercare are rubbish

Inspire me please!

I got some really nice ones from Tesco and they were really cheap.

An orange, yellow and green stripey one and an orange one with a little dinosaur on it and green cuffs. They're really cute. Think they are meant for boys but I bought them for DD2 and they're great, wash well too.

Sainsburys had a reasonable choice. Gap are usually good too but not sure about the price.

Don't bother with Tesco - it's all cream rubbish with Dumbo on it.

We got the farm bright or whatever they're called ones from mothercare. And they had some fab sesame street and Winnie the pooh ones too.

I got lovely ones in Next a few years ago. Ok they were white but with bright colourful spots, stripes, animals, stars. Worth a look.

We got some gorgeous ones from next, a white and bright yellow striped one, an orange red, green and yellow stripy one and a white one which says smile down one side in colourful letters shaped like animals.

We also got a really nice bright dinosoaur pack, one with two bright dinos on, one with lots of little orange, red, yellow and blue dinos on and a bright stripy red , yellow, orange and blue one. Although these are probably a bit boyish.

Ahhhh see thats where Im going wrong most of the shops you have named are at least a hours drive away.........H&M, primark, gap..........

Think the others just have limited ranges too.

Feel a bit odd for not finding out as bombarded by pink/blue in most stores and a bit flat when I look at unisex range!

Mumblebum- thats what I want- stars, spots, stripes.

Whats the quality of primark like? Anything I buy will be passed on but still I suppose they dont wear though clothes at this age so maybe thats a non issue.

Bagelmonkey- I havent noticed the farm stripes before- thank you. Sesame street is a possibly.

Just back from asda. The ones in packs were Bland and boring but cheap!

Had a quick look at next online- may see if any friends are doing an order as there are some nice ones that work out about £5 a sleepsuit.

I just got some very cute ones from Tesco. White with little silver stars and white with silver stars around the edging. Also got some with little animals and some red stripes. All were 3 for 3.50 and 100% cotton. I don' t know what I'm having either.

My 3-month-old DS is currently looking delicious in a lovely playsuit-type short legged babygro with lime green and bright (not baby) blue on it, bought from Boots this week. They had loads of great colourful stuff.

I like the babygrows from next. With DS3 I wanted something a bit different so i bought some plain white vests, babygrows and muslins and dyed them all different bright colours. They look great and original too.

Dyeing them would be great- how easy is it though? Maybe 3 of each colour. Any colour suggestions?

All DD's nice bright babygros came from Boots. But they have changed supplier now so the range isn't what it was.

And I think these rompers from Next are pretty gorgeous although a bit more expensive than you wanted.

allthefires · 03/07/2011 15:58

I like those rompers too but not a summer baby otherwise I would get them. However may get them in larger size for next spring/summer.

Next have a lot of different designs in store that are not online at the one close to me, although this may just be the larger stores.
