AIBU?

To think some jars of baby food are actually rather nice?

Sometimes I want to eat them myself.

Is this common?

I was glad to have DC3 9 years after DC2 as it meant I had a legitimate excuse to get the baby chocolate pudding that Heinz make Blush

Just the way they look - and some smell - puts me off putting them near my mouth so can't comment on how they actually taste!

APparently its a diet craze among starlets and the like in the states. Read it in A A gill's restaurant review the other week

YANBU! some of the fruit puddings are delish! Grin

Heinz nice.

Cow and Gate inedible tasteless glue.

Organix exotic type ones nice. 'English' fayre made of potato and water. Ick.

I'm not on the diet, honestly. I just lick the spoon at the end.

And rusks are unbearably delicious.

Oh, and on the rare occasions I've ponced up to plum baby or ella's kitchen, they have been gastronomic delights.

One of MIL's friends has an eating disorder and after spending a few days with us on holiday when DS1 was a toddler got a thing about Goodies products. It was the 'it's sweet without added sugar' thing that set her off. Particularly the carrot cake bars.

YANBU. Only the sweet ones though.

The savoury ones all taste exactly the same - ie of not much.

Savoury ones are repulsive and taste of mushy tomato grainy spuds and water. The puddings are ok, but rusks are delish

Yes, Rusks are fab!

Peach/apricot puree is lovely! (And can be the start of a range of cheat's puddings).

Hipp cocoa and vanilla pudding is lovely. Like old school chocolat blancmange.

I loved the apple and pear one. One of my dd's loved the Heinz pasta and mushroom one.

My dd's are 9, 7 and 3 and love the desserts. I buy them if they are on speacial offer instead of yogurts

Dh has a think for the Heinz banana delight. It was on our shopping list long before we had a baby Grin

The Hipp baby rice that you make up with milk is absolutely gorgeous.

When I fed DS it was "one for you, one for mummy.." Blush
