What will be particularly satisfying is that the particular kind of misogynistic childhater who thinks children are a lifestyle choice and SAHMs are parasites, will cope worst of all, compared to the hands-on parents.

There may be a few deaths but it will be worth it in the long term. AIBU?

I'm not utterly convinced that my 3 year old has the right level of empathy and understanding to deal with suicidal clients tbh.
I'm a mental health nurse.
In fact, when I worked last Christmas both children were convinced that it was to go and help incredibly poorly people to open their presents. (if only )

Our ds' (4 years and 18 months) would LOVE to play with Daddy's expensive and highly callibrated machine . I also can't see any reputable scientific journal having a problem with a paper submitted covered in crayon diagrams either.

parents who have demanding jobs that are not child-friendly
parents who have large numbers of children
parents who do not usually look after their children alone

Given that most MNers won't leave their children with anyone but grandparents (and sometimes not even them) I can't imagine anyone volunteering their children for "take a random child to work day" for someone who didn't have kids of their own.

I work on a bank trading floor, some days I reckon my 22 month DS randomly hitting buy/sell would make a better job of it than me . As an aside, we do let kids come in on Christmas Eve and it's quite amusing when the economists kids get on the tannoy yelling across the whole floor...for about an hour, then it gets a bit annoying.
