he's just admitted that he's ordered £100 worth of stuff from Next at a time when I'm desperately trying to cut our debt.

From this £100 all he's ordered are a t-shirt and jeans for DS and two sets of 2 pyjamas for £21 EACH!!

All this stuff would have been half the price in Asda. It's not been paid for, its on my credit account.

Send it back. Change the password on the account.

Yeh, you don't have any obligation to pay Next untill you decide you want the stuff. Just call them, they will send a courier to collect it all.

Xales Sun 26-Jun-11 11:36:33

Return all of the items.

Change the password on the account or cancel it.

Sit down and have a serious chat and show him all the finances and that you as a couple are not in a position to do this right now.

No wonder you are in debt, £21 for pjs, what a rip off!!! sad

Crossssssshairs Sun 26-Jun-11 12:10:11

Agree with the above, return it.

foreverondiet Sun 26-Jun-11 13:52:23

Ok a mistake but luckily easy to return.

Pumpernickel10 Sun 26-Jun-11 13:57:03

Let him buy it if it's his money as you spend yours on coke grin

overthehillmum Sun 26-Jun-11 14:01:48

I use next online, and I am sure if it hasn't been delivered yet you can go onto your account and cancel anything that hasn't been delivered yet.

Cookster Sun 26-Jun-11 14:03:24

Why does he have access to your credit account?

PinotsKittens Sun 26-Jun-11 14:04:14

Close your Next A/C whilst you're at it. Next are shite grin

shock what is worst is that it is in YOUR credit account! DH and I have each other's bank/card details, and use them quite a bit depending on who is more in the black at the time. But we always check first - the only exception being if it's under about a tenner and it's something essential (groceries).

We share all money, but especially as we are not well off, we always discuss big purchases. £100 on a few clothes is ridiculous if you're in debt. What a knob.

Is he depressed? Retail therapy? Or is he just a financial ostrich, so to speak?

EricNorthmansMistress Sun 26-Jun-11 18:26:38

BTW Littlewoods online is much better than Next - cheaper and 0% credit, free delivery and free returns - just saying.
