I recently sold some boys shorts on ebay, 3 pairs which went for just over £8.
They were in excellent condition, nothing at all wrong with them.

I had an email from the buyer today stating "that while the goods are as described I do not feel that they are worth the £8.00 that I paid for them. I feel that they are worth about £5 for the 3 pairs. I would appreciate if you refund me the difference and I will not take it any further. I await your co-operation"

Erm.

FPMSL!!!- Shall I refund?

No! Cheeky bint!

GypsyMoth Wed 22-Jun-11 20:08:39

no,but i bet she's olding you to ransom over the feedback

call her bluff and tell her to return them for a full refund if not 100 per cent happy

FabbyChic Wed 22-Jun-11 20:08:56

Tell her if she is not happy to return them at her own expense and you will issue a refund for item cost only.

However, if you are a business seller and sold items on a BIN listing, she is entitled to a full refund of what she initially paid.

Ask for the goods back and offer to refund the whole amount?

TidyDancer Wed 22-Jun-11 20:08:59

Er, no! Tell her to do one! YANBU!

GypsyMoth Wed 22-Jun-11 20:09:00

*holding

Nixea Wed 22-Jun-11 20:09:03

<speechless> Certainly not! I'd send her a lovely email back saying that if you wanted to haggle you'd have taken them to a car boot sale! Insane...

irishqueen Wed 22-Jun-11 20:09:16

She bid on them! Tough shite! Tell her to do one!!

irishqueen Wed 22-Jun-11 20:09:18

She bid on them! Tough shite! Tell her to do one!!

michglas Wed 22-Jun-11 20:10:22

Errrr no, she admits that they are as described so she has no come back at all. What did she think she was getting if the goods are as described? Tell her to get stuffed, you abided by Ebay's rules and an auction often ends up with stuff selling for more than their worth. Make sure you keep all emails safe in case she starts a dispute, but don't worry about it as you are in the right.

mumnotmachine Wed 22-Jun-11 20:11:05

I couldnt care less about feedback LOL- I'm only in it to sell my unwanted stuff- I'm on over 3000 feedback and at 100% fb

Could see the feedback though- " I bid too much and seller refused to refund me"

bellavita Wed 22-Jun-11 20:11:18

Stupid woman. YANBU

mumnotmachine Wed 22-Jun-11 20:12:14

Nope am private seller and it was auction

mumnotmachine Wed 22-Jun-11 20:13:05

They were worth the £8 though- they were all Next shorts

mumnotmachine Wed 22-Jun-11 20:14:06

PMSL-Just had a thought

***hopes buyer isnt an MNer****

WilliamSonoma Wed 22-Jun-11 20:14:50

Agree with everything that has been said.

But would just like to add - is she fucking serious haggling over £3?????

YANBU

If they were honestly described, then £8 for three pairs of Next shorts is not at all BU. Message her back and call her bluff. Tell her to sod off, refund or post bad feedback. Come on - if you've sold several pieces with good feedback, then people will see through it. Anybody worth anything can see through vendetta-type feedback on eBay.
Silly c*nt, she is...Bring it ON!!!

IDrinkFromTheirSkulls Wed 22-Jun-11 20:15:37

hahahaha.

I think we should all try that one next time we go shopping!

Any chance of a pm or something with her username so I can add her to my banned buyers list?!?

WilliamSonoma Wed 22-Jun-11 20:15:42

OP hope she is mner so she can see how unreasonable she is being

thegruffalosma Wed 22-Jun-11 20:15:46

If they were as described but not worth £8 then why did she bid £8 based on the description of them?
Keep the email as evidence in case she opens a PayPal dispute as she has admitted they are as described.

mumnotmachine Wed 22-Jun-11 20:16:19

Yep she sure is!
Some people seriously need to get a life LOL

lostintransition Wed 22-Jun-11 20:19:44

Report her and send a copy of the email to ebay.

Thingumy Wed 22-Jun-11 20:24:29

thegruffalosma Wed 22-Jun-11 20:25:35
