why would anyone have "Oliver T" tatooed onto the back of their neck? is it their name? if so, is it to stop them forgetting it? but they would not be able to read it on the back of their neck!!

MrsRhettButler Tue 21-Jun-11 10:25:13

Maybe their kids/partners name

Jude89 Tue 21-Jun-11 10:26:26

Maybe they don't know it's there.

lostmymind Tue 21-Jun-11 10:26:47

it's so the paramedics know who's name to shout when addressing the prone unconscious drunk

babybarrister Tue 21-Jun-11 10:26:49

maybe - he was a "trendy" bloke of about 25 ....!

Bettyblackeye Tue 21-Jun-11 10:26:56

Hmmm I'm not sure either confused there was a woman on holiday last year with "bitch" tattooed on the back of hers, I can only imagine somebody must of put it there when she wasn't looking grin

AtYourCervix Tue 21-Jun-11 10:27:39

it's so they can be returned to their owner. like school jumpers.

AmberLeaf Tue 21-Jun-11 10:28:16

Does it matter what someone else has tattooed on their body?

Pumpernickel10 Tue 21-Jun-11 10:29:07

Because they are twats! grin

neverontime Tue 21-Jun-11 10:30:39

perhaps he's a HUGE fan of oliver twist and isnt afraid to show it grin

Pumpernickel10 Tue 21-Jun-11 10:30:41

No I'm not anti tattoo either I've 1/2 a sleeve with a japans geshia on and a swallow on my foot. Some tattoos are crass though in my eyes.

It'll be his kid I should think.

Looks shit imo, but to each their own.

babybarrister Tue 21-Jun-11 10:32:06

it does not matter - I was just wooooondering why that tattoo? grin

applechutney Tue 21-Jun-11 10:33:29

Yes neverontime, i was also going to comment that he may simply be an avid reader of Dickens' novels.

neverontime Tue 21-Jun-11 10:38:00

maybe he wanted something very profound on the back of his neck and his tattooist couldnt remember what he asked for, so wrote his name instead, thinking he'd never be able to see it himself.

DoodledGirl Tue 21-Jun-11 10:38:39

neverontime grin - maybe he's waiting for his neck to thicken before he can add the 'wist'

TakeMeDrunkImHome Tue 21-Jun-11 10:38:47

Love the idea that it is so they know how to address him when he is face down in a pile of vom and blue wkd.

JudysJudgement Tue 21-Jun-11 10:38:48

Oliver Twist?

Pagwatch Tue 21-Jun-11 10:43:40

this would be much more sensible I think

StayFrosty Tue 21-Jun-11 10:49:21

I often wonder what cheryl is going to do about the 'mrs cole' tattoo on the back of her neck. Change it to 'old king'?

BeerTricksPotter Tue 21-Jun-11 10:50:18

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

happyhorse Tue 21-Jun-11 10:53:18

My friend used to know someone who had 'scumbag' tattooed on his neck shock

babybarrister Tue 21-Jun-11 10:55:06

clearly he is a member of the Dickens massive ....

BarbaraBar Tue 21-Jun-11 10:56:30

It's also handy for when he's being taken up the arse in prison by Big Reg.

Reg knows his name without having to ask.

everlong Tue 21-Jun-11 10:57:46

Bit odd I have to say.

Actually now I think about I know a young lad with his name on his arm. I said 'why' he said he couldn't think of anything else.

Okaaaaaaaaay.

I like the sound if a half sleeve geisha though.
