Had to cancel all my plans for the weekend. And why?
He has caught a tummy bug and is vomiting constantly.
I have had enough.

ComeWhineWithMe Fri 17-Jun-11 14:49:29

is this a joke?

Itsjustafleshwound Fri 17-Jun-11 14:49:30

Unless I am missing something, nothing that a box of Alka Seltzer can't cure and why are you cancelling your plans??

Sorry, perhaps I am missing something ...

mrsruffallo Fri 17-Jun-11 14:49:55

It'sone thing after another.

onebigchocolatemess Fri 17-Jun-11 14:49:58

what did he do all the other times?

CrapolaDeVille Fri 17-Jun-11 14:50:32

Oh dear....Was this a well planned special weekend ruined?

Obviously YABVU, but understandable.

thekidsmom Fri 17-Jun-11 14:50:48

Unless there's more to it, I'd say 'give the guy a break'...

mrsruffallo Fri 17-Jun-11 14:51:03

Apparently he can't keep anything down hmmso tablets no good

hiddenhome Fri 17-Jun-11 14:51:05

Buy him some domperidone and 100 Actimel drinks wink

BooyHoo Fri 17-Jun-11 14:51:12

did he do it deliberatley? confused

AuntieMonica Fri 17-Jun-11 14:51:17

yes, all people who catch bugs on purpose should be shot and then fed to the sharks hmm

YABU, your DH has bad timing for sure, but come on...........

Mabelface Fri 17-Jun-11 14:51:43

It's hardly his fault he's ill, but it must be frustrating if you had plans.

pommedechocolat Fri 17-Jun-11 14:51:55

I think YAB a bit U but I kinda understand. My dh seems to always be ill with something or another and I get fed up of being the one having to take all the slack.
I'd have more sympathy if he'd ever go to the damn doctor but he never does so in my eyes is doing nothing to help himself.

TanteRose Fri 17-Jun-11 14:53:24

Can you trade him in for someone healthy?

dadof2ofthem Fri 17-Jun-11 14:53:26

my wife gets irritated by me when i'm sick, sometimes it would be easier to be sick alone than with her around .

Malgosia Fri 17-Jun-11 14:53:51

He should leave you.

BootyMum Fri 17-Jun-11 14:56:30

That's because men always make such a drama out of it!
Well my DH does at least. Has to lie on the couch pitifully asking for drinks and paracetamol, football on tv.
I feel like I never get the opportunity to be sick because he always is!
With Man Flu!

BitOfFun Fri 17-Jun-11 14:56:38

Malgosia hmm

I wouldnt cancel anything- he'll perk up.

SuePurblybilt Fri 17-Jun-11 14:56:40

I have a teeny bit of empathy with the OP, I hate sick people. Other than my DD, when I'm around people feeling poorly I turn into a horrid Captain Mainwearin type and want to tell them to pull themselves together. They bug me. It's not a nice trait, I'm aware of that grin.

But OP, your title sounds as if you have more issues than being pissed off at Man Flu.

mrsruffallo Fri 17-Jun-11 14:56:51

Thanks for your understanding. We had tickets for something, a birthday present for him from SIL.
Now we can't go sad

GreenTeapot Fri 17-Jun-11 14:57:06

OP this is abusive behaviour and it will get worse. Make no mistake, this man is a terrible role model for your children. Do you want them to grow up thinking it's ok to have viruses? Leave him now! Be brave. We're here for you.

SuePurblybilt Fri 17-Jun-11 14:57:27

Cannot type <sigh>.

Malgosia Fri 17-Jun-11 14:57:59

Just reversing the usual MN meme, BitOfFun.
