AIBU?

DS shat in his wellies

So, evidently, I need to buy him a new pair. This is fine as they were getting too small anyway. But I can't find any for love nor money! It's all sandals, which is great, when it's sunny, but not much use when it rains, which let's face it, it does. A lot.

I've tried Boots, Next, H&M. Keep meaning to check in QS and supermarkets but haven't had chance to go to one which does clothes. I don't want to pay ridiculous amounts for some in Clarks when they are

Oops Blush forgot my question. I was distracted by the police turning up and parking outside my house.

AIBU to think I should be able to find a pair of cheap wellies at all times of year, considering we live in a rainy country?

So when he wants to force you to buy him something new, he craps in the old one?

Interesting technique. I might try that myself.

I want a big tacky american style fridge freezer...

Bloody hell bertie, he only pooped in his wellies, no need to get the fuzz round! Grin

Brantano is miles away, could possibly borrow a relative with a car though.

Grin DP put the nappy on wrong and it went all down the inside of his trouser legs and literally filled his boots.

Boots are not worth saving as they cost me £3, and are a size 6 when he's a size 7 now.

Mothercare always seem to have wellies.

That's a good shot to curl one out in a welly though! Well done BabyBertieBotts Grin

Um does it make me a minger to say wash the bloody wellies and let him keep them! Thats what I would do.

I mean you say they are getting small from from the sounds of things you weren't planning to replace them until now. So wash them and buy new ones when he really needs them.

I think I've got a pair of size 7's that DS has grown out of....

Camping shop is a good idea. I'll try that.

Thanks for the links and ebay etc, I'd rather go for something in the high street first, as we can go tomorrow. Going to a big muddy festival at the weekend so delivered ones might not arrive in time!

I saw some cheap wellies in Aldi the other week...

Remember when my nephew threw up in my dh's boot (not wellie though) one afternoon - he was only about 12 months old and his aim was perfect Grin

What sort of shit was it?

A leaky arse shit that trickled? if so you need wellies with elasticated tops. And possibly a cork up his arse.

Or a squat and shit coz you ignored him? In which case you need to wind your neck in and realise that perving a policeman is tantamount to lusting after someone young enough to be your son Grin

Does he go to nursery? Might be worth asking if you can borrow some for the weekend?

Report
BertieBotts · 16/06/2011 20:23

Oh no I'd been meaning to get him new ones for a while anyway. Just hadn't got round to it. I was planning to pass these on to a friend but somehow I think she won't be interested any more.

The insides are all fabricky anyway so I don't think there's much point trying to save them.

Thanks for the offer Blatherskite :) Do you think you'd be able to post them before the weekend or is it unlikely? (I'd pay postage of course) Don't worry if not. I'll try the camping shops tomorrow.
