make sure you get the name of every person you have to speak to about this and log every conversation

Invoice them for the cost of the call, the cost of recorded delivery to deliver said written documentation, and if they fail to respond with a payment within 14 days, explain you'll be invoicing them at your hourly rate (and then put what you earn per hour - accurately - not joking) if you have to spend even 1 minute more chasing a fix to their mess.

I've done this before; I've had it granted before; remember that it's their fuckup.

I refuse to just smile politely whilst being bullshitted by banks these days.

The amount of chasing you have to do to get the simplest of things done is shocking. Funnily enough, they always seem to cough up the goods/service once you tout naming and shaming on social media websites and/or invoicing them with an hourly rate.
