Every thread I go on is filled with people sayign "I'm from the north east..."
Why are you not all meeting us for cake?

Sign in here to say hi to other NEers, and tell us are you:

OK I'll add a q4 - where is the nearest reasonably big place you'll admit to living near? Mine is Esh Winning.

Default "butt out" answer is London

I'm from Teesside. I don't go to the meetups because I don't drive so it would mean getting a train and I have school runs to do and dog walking so can never fit them in. That and I have very little confidence and worry you would all judge me for being too northern and too working class.

I am from a NE mining/shipping town. My Dad was a handyman. I own a Whippet. I don't walk her on a string, she has a lovely leather lead Grin.

Just east of York and I still count myself as from the North East, although I was born in North Shields if that helps boost my credentials. (not that I live there anymore, oh no, bloody freezing place! Grin)

I'm 29, but DH is 34. You might know him. I'm still here. I moved to Manchester for a while, but had to come home when ex twat left me alone and homeless when I was pg with dd1. I want to move to Durham or Newcastle but DH won't.

Come to Durham DooinMeCleanin, it's lovely!

Report
SongBirdsKeepSinging · 16/06/2011 15:50

I am a hermit and know virtually no one (only people through dp) and don't drive so don't really know how to get anywhere. I neeeeeed new people in my life that are not dp's friends girlfriends.have suffered with pnd (so didn't really do baby groups) and got pregnant again (5 weeks to go!) so once new baby is born and I'm back on my feet will make massive effort to meet people and go places.

I like Durham just for fat buddha!

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 16/06/2011 15:51

Must add, the rest of Durham is also lovely....champagne bar by fat Buddha was very nice....
