Just been looking at a few jobs. Clicked on one with a fairly bland title, thought I could maybe do it.
Job description includes: "ensure full alignment exists across all interface points. Identifying opportunities for process & procedural improvement to provide the most optimum & efficient processes."

OK

well I'd rather not link but I can't imagine many sites use exaclty those words in that order
Unless it's lifted straight from pg 41 of the Manager's Little Book of Crap, which give us such gems as "we no longer say "from now on" or "in future". "Moving forward" is the phrase to use, moving forward".

"ensure full alignment exists across all interface points. Identifying opportunities for process & procedural improvement to provide the most optimum & efficient processes."

Sounds like a co-ordinating business improvement role.

Basically make sure people are doing things in the least time consuming way while getting the job done and make sure that people doing different jobs don't use processes that conflict with eachother.

Management speak - definitely.
Hard to do - nah, piece of cake as long as you have an ounce of common sense (and a knowledge of the business area)

Overheard on train - people discussing conference programme. 'At the end of the day we can retune to items carparked during the day.'

StealthPolarBear · 16/06/2011 14:37

lol :) unless those items were carparked in P&T spaces :o
