Just been looking at a few jobs. Clicked on one with a fairly bland title, thought I could maybe do it.
Job description includes: "ensure full alignment exists across all interface points. Identifying opportunities for process & procedural improvement to provide the most optimum & efficient processes."

OK

Liiink so we can point and laugh, and their website admin person will wonder why the traffic spike, do some digging around, and see this thread? <evil>

well I'd rather not link but I can't imagine many sites use exaclty those words in that order
Unless it's lifted straight from pg 41 of the Manager's Little Book of Crap, which give us such gems as "we no longer say "from now on" or "in future". "Moving forward" is the phrase to use, moving forward".

StealthPolarBear Thu 16-Jun-11 14:11:33

actually their site has stopped loading
eother a load of MNers are hogging it, or they have read my post and blocked my IP grin

StealthPolarBear Thu 16-Jun-11 14:24:43

another one I found talked about "utilising bleeding edge technology"

StealthPolarBear Thu 16-Jun-11 14:25:00

like a sword maybe

"ensure full alignment exists across all interface points. Identifying opportunities for process & procedural improvement to provide the most optimum & efficient processes."

Sounds like a co-ordinating business improvement role.

Basically make sure people are doing things in the least time consuming way while getting the job done and make sure that people doing different jobs don't use processes that conflict with eachother.

Management speak - definitely.
Hard to do - nah, piece of cake as long as you have an ounce of common sense (and a knowledge of the business area)

StealthPolarBear Thu 16-Jun-11 14:33:50

that's me out then - no common sense grin

StealthPolarBear Thu 16-Jun-11 14:34:29

and are you saying you would let something like that go out with your name on it?

TheMagnificentBathykolpian Thu 16-Jun-11 14:35:15

I used to be able to, but I'm not nearly flexible enough any more.

Ormirian Thu 16-Jun-11 14:36:36

Ah...... job is for a yogic network technician!

languagepedantic Thu 16-Jun-11 14:36:47

Overheard on train - people discussing conference programme. 'At the end of the day we can retune to items carparked during the day.'

StealthPolarBear Thu 16-Jun-11 14:37:23

lol smile unless those items were carparked in P&T spaces grin

Ormirian Thu 16-Jun-11 14:37:47

But clearly you need to speak Managment Gibberish to be able to carry out the role. Twats!

sparkle1977 Thu 16-Jun-11 14:42:35

hahaha carparked indeed..... hi-bloody-larious

reminds me of the apprentice....load of bullshit bingo
