To be lazy today?

DS (10) went on his school trip yesterday, a week camping, he's never been away from home for more than one night before and never without a relative so last night I was a bit panicky and maybe a little precious Blush I was ok after he phoned saying how much fun he had and I'm happy for him but I still couldn't sleep properly because of worrying (I know it's stupid)

Anyway....so now I'm knackered and can't be arsed to do anything, but there's washing, cleaning and tidying to be done. DD1 is in school until 3pm, DD2 and DP are on her school trip and won't be back until 5ish and DD3 is in her highchair munching on banana and rubbing half of it in her hair.

So can I be lazy or am I going to get a kick up the backside to get moving?

WIWD is a quick half hour tidy up of the worst of it and then reward myself with a sit down, and some gentle playing with DD3, for the rest of the day.

15 minute incrementals - thats what I do when knackered!

15 mins, then 1 hour of MN - I am amazed at how much I can get done in 15 mins - boil the kettle - unload the dishwasher, reload if ness, wipe the sides and high chair, fold clothes, make tea, sit down turn on tv, fold more clothes, throw on some washing. Relax drink tea.

OK maybe I am not the best person to ask...............

I would be exactly the same as you regarding DS10 on school trip(as mine the same)and not sleeping. So think I would be doing the housework to keep busy MumGone. But I don't think there's anything wrong with having a lazy day either so do what you want.Grin.

I have a big laundry basket of washing to do and another basket to iron, fold and put away as well as 2 reception rooms, the kitchen and the big open hallway to hoover/sweep (thanks to the Labrador shredding her coat everywhere), hundreds of toys to put away, a sink full of dishes to do, and a million other things to do and half hour wouldn't even put a tidy dent in it Grin

Ok naptime (DD's not mine unfortunatelyGrin) is in about half hour so I guess I should do some of it then.

I wish I had extra arms. Grin

I've got loads to do, but have been sat on mn since about 9.30!! My justification is that I cleaned the whole house yesterday.

I feel shit after having stupid row with dh this morning, premenstrual so am munching my way through a whole packet of chocolate chip cookies and should really feel guilty, but don't.

Some days we should just get on with being lazy imho!!

YANBU. I am mainly lazy, I am so lazy in fact, that I do 10 or even 5 minute jobs, then come back to MN for 30-60 minutes.

MN is so bloody addictive isn't it! And so much easier to do than housework.

BUT I really must get round to hanging out the washing before playgroup pick up.......
