Oh dear, what happened?

I had an item arrive this morning, got a bit annoyed because it wasn't what I was expecting, but then I did go back and check and realise it was my mistake anyway!

People definitely need to be more aware on ebay.

My DH ships items direct from china, like cheap computers and stuff. They are such a bargain which is why they are popular. The listing clearly states that the item is coming from China and it is up the the buyer to know the laws in their country on customs charges and any charges incurred, the buyer are responsible for. This is only ever a few pounds but my DH is honest and doesn't hide this in the listing, it is as large as everything else and goes into detail about customs etc so people can be 100% sure before they bid.

In the last 48 hours 2 people have left negs saying there was a customs charge and then followed up with threats, calling him a dick head (ok people, step away that's my job) and that he is running a scam. He follows all ebay rules and the business laws. He has done nothing wrong. What do ebay say? Do one! He pays £140 ebay fees per month for this kind of service so in fact ebay can kiss my flaps too!

le sigh

Ebay are notoriously awful awful AWFUL (did I mention awful?) at supporting sellers in disputes. Plus people seem to lose the ability to think like a normal person when using Ebay Hmm

:o @ it's your job to call DH a dickhead!

Please can we include the twit who was clearly told on my listing to contact me BEFORE bidding for a postage rate (clearly stated to be just UK charges without any extras for packing, time and trouble) but who placed a bid from Italy anyway and then paid for the item alone, refusing to pay ANY postage charges?

Or buyers who win an auction and don't bloody pay. One buyer thought it was OK to wait 8 days until her wages came in and another one I'm dealing with now has taken 5 days. It seems to be happening more and more lately and I don't want to be one of those sellers that says "Pay within 3 days or else! happy bidding!".

I'm going to go and buy a new top tomorrow in Dotty P's and tell them I'll pay for it at the end of the month. I'm sure they won't mind.

It's RUDE to pay late.

Its rude not to pay, then to say you don't want it, then not to close the case after you have been generous enough to NOT start an non payment case against them. You then wait to relist, relist and some twat tells you after they have won it that they don't want it as they didn't read the information correctly.

cue small explosion from me.
