They are brilliant. :(

I dislike it too.

I think about 50% of it may be intended to be in good humour, but it has stopped being funny.

I think WTF is fine as it contains 'fuck' which is an excellent Anglo-Saxon word.

It's the new, ignorant text speak that I object to and the posters who insist on using it.

See I'd take your point OP if the majority of posters didn't use 'Dh, DD, DS, BF, FF' and all that jazz.

To me, it's just as lazy as text talk Grin

There are around 2 million Mumsnet users if I remember correctly.
It's not a super exclusive club for clever snarky people only you know.

YABU, obviously.

Rhinestone, that kind of talk annoys me too but I accept that there are different people on here and they might want to use it. Why should everyone talk the way you want them to?

Report
HolyFail · 07/06/2011 13:36

this is my point

OP It's threads like yours that create a platform for the very thing you are trying to avoid OP....with your obvious disgust you may have inadvertently created a monster....

The very fact that this kind of text speak annoys you means that the "eejits" will continue to get a rise out of you/us....
