you're asking the wrong bunch of people whether correct spelling is important or not.

If you have an issue with the supply cover of a class, I think it's better to bring it to the head of the school so that s/he can try to arrange consistancy in the cover. I know that my friends ds was having difficulty in a similar situation that his mum went to the head and as it had been brought to her attention then she could do something about it.
