I know its early to think about christmas but this trip wouldnt be for this year.
my dp and our children, dps two sisters and husbands and 4 children between them are considering going away for a christmas together.

we were thinking about going to a log cabin up north somewhere and spending a few days and a couple of nights all together. the children are/will be at ages where they can be together and play well and all old enough to remember it (something thats important to us).

has anyone here done this before? did it work? was it expensive? how long is too long and lastly what do you do about sheer amounts of gifts?

Thanks

i think the log fire is a prerequisite to be honest, i wont be going without one!

i was a bit worried about carting all the childrens pressies up there (how many trees would you need!) but i would be equally worried bout leaving the rest of the gifts at home.

how long did you go for? what did you do when you were there? any suggestions on anywhere good? we want snow if possible!

hmm just looking, when they ask for party size do they include children?

would it be naughty to say 6 people 3 bedrooms and then have the children sleep on the floor?

370 for 4-6 people jumps to 3000 for 10+ but 6 of those would be children?
