Wendy James was verrrrrry sexy.

I reckon she pissed a few important people off. Perhaps.

Why?

<wonders where her tape is - used to listen to this a lot when driving >

ohhh vid was on one of the music channels the other day, turned it right up and bopped along....kids thought i had lost the plot but what a tune!

Was she engaged to Roland Rivron or was that a Smash Hits urban myth?
Not a match made in heavenhmm

I just think she should have been a much bigger and more long-lasting star because she did have "it"

A spurious theory, not slating her.

She was great! And one of the reasons Transvision Vamp were not more successful was basic misogyny - while Wendy James was pretty and wore miniskirts she was totally unashamed of wanting to be successful. Which is 'confidence' in men and 'who the fuck does she think she is?' in women.
Actually, thinking about it, for all the whining about sexism in music these days, someone like Lady Gaga, who is equally driven towards being successful, doesn't get half the kicking WJ got in the music press.
