AIBU?

To expect DH to be ready on time

Yesterday I had a colonscopy at hospital which is an intrusive procedure and I was not allowed to eat anything for 28 hrs prior to the appointment.I also had to take moviprep which basically insures that the bowl is empty. As I was going to be sedated my DH had to accompany me so he could drive home etc. Anyway as I was getting my coat on to go to the hosp DH was getting out the ironing board to iron a shirt to wear to the hosp. I have to say I freaked out a bit because we both had loads of time prior to this ( I had also spent the morning organising food for everyone 3dc, dh and granny) there was no need to be so disorganised. We ended up having a massive row and he deems me the unreasonable one. AIBU to expect him to be ready and organised for me?

He was being unreasonable and disorganised, but you were understandably stressed out to breaking point, which tbf he probably was as well.

How did you both leave it?

Please don't let it go on, you sound like you've got enough on your plate as it is.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

As long as you weren't really late then him ironing isn't too bad. Why didn't he just stick on a t-shirt though? It's only the hospital!

I bet you were nervous and it makes you really hungry as well doesn't it (me and DH have both had them) so it wasn't fair for you to be preparing the food. He should have done it. Did you ask him?

YANBU. Sounds like you were tense (with good reason) and he just didn't get it. Did you agree a time to leave the house?

Well he said some really horrible things, I was very cold to him this morning, I dont feel up for another row, so I will just leave it and move on.I feel very tired and emotional, thankfully they didnt see anything untoward but I have to wait for the biopsy results. Thanks Agent.

Red- yes I was rense, weak and very hungry!!! Everyhting was going smoothly and I was so calm.......We had agreed on a time to leave.

Quack Quack - I didnt mind preparing food as keeping busy took my mind off everything and I really wanted my Mum and the kids to have something nice to eat!

I tell you, if I had to go just 8 hours without eating anything, I'd be fit to rip someones head off Grin

So he had a lucky escape being married to someone like you who's so reasonable Grin
