Smells nice tastes bad...

AIBU to ask a not-strictly-AIBU question because it always gets better responses than other forums?

Bit of a weird one, but what foods/drinks smell great but taste shit? Like fruit teas, for example...

I was going to say fruit tea. Smells so pretty, tastes like dishwater.

Yes absolutely to fruit teas. Why is that? They smell yummy but taste of nothing Confused

Also Supernoodles. The different flavours smell diferent and are different shades of yellow/orange but they all taste vile the same (or they did 10 years* ago when I was a student, anyway).

*10 years! I'm old.

fruit teas. vile nastiness in the mouth, but delightful on the nose.

Honey I washed the kids soap from Lush. It keeps tricking me into licking it.

Mustard for me. Every time I put mustard on a sandwich for DH and DD, I am compelled to smell it, but I can't stand the taste.
