Hehe I do that as well, think 'is something burning in the kitchen, it's a bit smokey' then realise my glasses have got really mucky.

They've usually got little tiny sticky fingerprints all over them, so actually save me from numerous pokes in the eye Grin

I hate when you get all the startchy stuff from peeling potatoes on your glasses and it's a bugger to wash off

Trin - with a knife but the juice kind of starchy stuff seems to splatter my glasses

Confused

Am I weird?

well it may be becasue your using a knife

I dont so dont know if that would happen if I did

I have to use a peeler or starch on my glasses would be the least of my problems Grin

LOL

I can't use a peeler I'm left handed and it defeats my brain to use a peeler. I end up with hacked to bits spuds and wee tiny short peelings.

I can only use one type of peeler, you know the only that ISN'T straight

like a u shape with the blade at the top

'all over the laptop' lol Grin

maybe that is what I'm doing wrong
I should be doing everything at the laptop, that would get more done

starch, jam, choc spread, dog fur, juice, ironing water(yeah right) all over the laptop but hey
shit would get done Grin

I have only ever used one of the peelers that's a bit like a knife, but it has a peeler bit rather than a knife blade?

do you think I'd be better with one of U shaped ones?

Report
TrinityIsAShreddingFatRhino · 29/05/2011 19:01

maybe thats why I cant use the other ones

I have one of the others
I've even tried to use it but I fear for my thumb joining hand area....

TrinityIsAShreddingFatRhino · 29/05/2011 19:21

I think we mean the same thing dont we piglet
or is there a third peeler I know nothing about?

I hate peeling spuds so much that I make homemade chips with the skin on and I love mash but we only have it if dp is making tea

Peeling spuds is a loathsome chore.

My Dad used to cheat. I can remember him once making mashed potatoes by boiling the spuds whole, letting them cool a bit and the skins used to just slip off. Hey presto- bare naked spuds, ready to be bashed into oblivion!

'bare naked spuds'

thats a band name if ever I heard one Grin

and I reckon your dad has a fab idea
