Her kids go to the same school as mine. It's the last day before the holidays and she has kept her dcs off school. She always does it actually, every holiday, her kids get an extra day off!
And all they are doing is tidying up.
I'm a bit hormonal but I really want to email the headmaster to invite him to mine for a brew then he can listen to them through the wall.

Yabu

Non of your business

Leave it alone.

I'm sure the school are aware of any unauthorised absences and any regular patterns of days off 'sick'.

Yes you abu. Surely you must have better things to think about?

tbh, I reckon the class teaches might be glad that the kids aren't at school

Maybe they all have chicken pox, but feel well in themselves or some other infectious but not tiring illness. How would you know?

Besides from the fact that it is none of your business if she does every half term the school will be aware of the pattern.

My mom used to do the same. Don't say anything no one likes a snitch. What she does is her business and it's only 1 frigging day.

Yabu.
It's their business and I'm sure the school are aware. It doesn't effect you or yours so I think it's a bit mean spirited tbh. Sorry!

I have got better things to think about but my thoughts are interrupted by her shouting and swearing at them

If the shouting and swearing bothers you, maybe you could go round and ask her to keep the noise down.
Telling the school isn't going to cure the noise issue.

Well in our school teacher has asked the class to bring a U or PG DVD in today and if they are good they might even have popcorn!

Does said neighbour only shout and swear on illegal school days-off,or is it an all week thing?

Report
soggybottomflancase · 27/05/2011 10:49

I wouldn't grass them up because I don't really care about them, but I do feel a bit sorry for them because they miss all the fun days at school.

She's always shouting and swearing that's her hobby! But only in the house she's very polite in the street, so she knows it's wrong!

Soggy she just did mainly as the last day we'd have no lessons so only played and this was only in junior school. She never did it in highschool.

My kids would have happily stayed off today had i let them. I dont think she would have forced them to stay off. How do you know they are not going away for the weekend and the kids have took a days holiday. Why not go ask her?
