Oh what to do! Grin

Where to put the christmas tree would be the first thing I look for in buying a new house. You can only blame yourself

When we viewed the house we went on to buy (viewed in September, moved in December) that was one of my questions to the seller.

There was DH with his questions about drains and loft storage and then there was me with "and where does your Christmas tree go exactly?"

YANBU. Grin

YANBU.

That's the first thing I think every time DP decides to move the furniture around when I take the DCs to my parents for a few days.

well the living room is just the right size for a three seater sofa, and chairs either side of the chimney breast under some shelves.
this room leads into the dining area of the kitchen/ diner, I can't see where the tree would do as anywhere I'm thinking of there's a bloody door in the way.
FGS why can't people walk through walls.

We looked for the house we are in now at Christmas, so we already had a solution before we moved in, twas a very important factor in choosing our new home Grin

Suspend it upside down from the ceiling over the stairwell and have an anti-gravity Christmas.

Front window? In fact, have a bay window installed immediately upon moving in

Incidentally, the Christmas we were looking at houses, we knew we would be away from home so our Christmas decorations that year consisted of dotting wrapped gifts all around, it looked lovely and there were no needles.

can I be anti gravity too?
oooh would that mean I'd be weightless...

How rude! Those solid bastards!

So odd my DP was just saying how weird I was thinking about Christmas tree locations yesterday (new furniture).

I think the front window would be perfect if there was enough space... annoyingly the houses next door both have bay windows, ours doesn't - not sure why tbh!

Because they needed somewhere for the tree?

Report
JazzAnnNonMouse · 26/05/2011 21:21

an anti gravity, anti solid christmas is the only answer.

YANBU. At all.

It's the first thing I think of.

Have even been known not to buy furniture/place furniture in a certain place because of it.

Am most annoyed as in current house only room for 1 tree. (Think I have 2 in loft).

When next move will ensure room for more trees !

I just love Christmas.Smile

It's May now so you have 7 months to get the bay window reinstated Grin.

'Tis the only solution!
