when he's in the pram out and about they come up and admire him (which is ok). But often they touch his feet and hands as well and even the face!! Should I stop them? Someone wanted to pick him up!

dc didn't seem to mind and was chortling but I'm not sure how acceptable this behaviour is. It happens pretty much whenever we go out.

Another one? You're surely making the most of your free time grin

Carry spray bleach ang give him a quick swizz if anyone gets to close.

Or you could get him one of these

What you need are bars on the front of the pram. Perhaps they could be electrified grin

Bloody hell, you post a lot of threads! And I thought I posted loads.

If you don't want people touching your baby then tell people that, however people love babies and that's just what they do.

Please, please, please get a full chemical suit. They come in baby size if you Google up the more paranoid suppliers of these things. Also, if you know a friendly steampunk aficionado, get them to make you a ray gun. Then you can vapourise the over familiar and sterilise the baby at the same time.

Quite surprised about the other responses TBH.

YANBU - it used to piss me off when people did that to my DD as well. I wasn't concerned about it, I just thought it was odd people thought it was ok to just touch her and as she was tiny it happened alot.

People still comment on how dinky she is (with massive brown eyes and eyelashes to die for) - she just looks at them hmm now though and she's 4.

you really don't mind people touching your baby? so where does innocent baby touching end and strangere danger start?

Salmotrutta Thu 26-May-11 12:48:59

Unless these people have dripping/weeping sores and are suffering from Ebola virus etc. I think your baby will survive the attention hmm

Teach him to spit or put poo on his face and hands. Yours preferably. Teach him to say "Do one Grandma, don't be getting up in me Chevy Chase with your spiky whiskers and liver spots".

mynameisplonker Thu 26-May-11 12:49:33

How about hanging a little sign on the hood

'Beware, could bite'

That should put the feckers off ...

ShirleyKnot Thu 26-May-11 12:50:28

<snorrrrt> at last post. innocent baby touching vs stranger danger.

controlpantsandgladrags Thu 26-May-11 12:51:00

what do you mean by stranger danger? confused He's hardly likely to be kidnapped out from under your nose........

SuePurblybilt Thu 26-May-11 12:51:03

" so where does innocent baby touching end and strangere danger start?"

Quote of the week right there. Feck it, you could write a book and go on DrPhil with a hook like that.

nepenthe3 Thu 26-May-11 12:51:49

You're a strange one.

Ormirian Thu 26-May-11 12:52:49

Get some anti-bac spray and give him a good going over when they've finished.

Can't be too careful.
