For all the Hemming apologists - please read this.

He has caused endless problems with his ramblings on here.

I thought he was irritating but essentially harmless. Now it seems he is abusing his position and will cause real harm. Who votes for this man?? What kind of a consituency MP is he?

How do you figure he's courageous? The man is an imbecile with just enough power to do harm.

YANBU
he is certainly not harmless, he has been instrumental in assisting parents to flee the child protection procedures thereby putting children at very real risk.

Report
Lovecat · 24/05/2011 23:22

How is he causing harm?

Spero, alepie, would either of you happen to work in Social Services...?

Can't see why else you're so het up...

Spero · 24/05/2011 23:25

Read the link lovecat.

I work in child protection. But I think any one with half a brain cell would be worried about this man by now.

Or is it ok for him to break any law he likes? that proves he is courageous?

I work in social services, which is how I know he's a stupid man who is full of shit and bile and stupidity.

Ah. Thought so. I shall parp myself off the thread then, before the sound of axes being ground deafens me.

Have fun.

But if nothing else I now have a great new phrase, after wading through the comments 'irresponsible fucknut'. Actually Ian Joseph sounds rather worse.

I don't work in social services. In fact he has told me that I am apparently at risk of having my children taken off me because I asked for help when I became mentally ill. He is dangerous, not only for the children, but for the parents who are too scared to ask for help with any problems, because of the dangerous myths he is spreading.

When he was on here, he would just bumble into threads spreading his rubbish. I mainly came across him in mental health, but he has apprently caused much heartache elsewhere on here, and to god knows how many lurkers.

He is a sad little fuck who wants to have his 15 minutes of fame. He will do that by attacking whoever he can, be that vulnerable parents (because not for one second is he on their side, no matter how he disguises it, he is using them and their fears for his own disgusting ends) the authorities, or league footballers.

He is repulsive and should be de-frocked (or whatever the political equivalent is)

And yes, very dangerous. In the way that power-crazed freakoids so often are. Do his constituency leaders know I wonder about all the abusive stuff he gets up to on t'net?

Apieofbutter - I am really sorry to hear that. I wish Lovecat would come back and read that but I know it is easier for some people to think all criticism of him and his ilk comes just from blinkered social workers with axes to grind.

Last year I know another mumsnetter wrote to Nick Clegg about him and didn't even have the courtesy of a reply which was sad. But I hope something will be done; what worries me most about him is that he operates as an MP which gives him a respectability I don't think he remotely deserves.

why is it that anyone speaking out against him is accused of working for social services? Hmm

I do not work for social services and I think he is a deeply unpleasant and sinister individual.

It is scary that people like him can hold the power he does.

It is even scarier that people like him who are in a position of power can use sites like mn as a platform for their agendas.

I think he is an arrogant idiot. If the criticism attributed to Wall J on that site is accurate then that's good enough for me. I heard him on pm on Monday and he sounded like a righteous, deluded arse.

Report
wannaBe · 25/05/2011 10:16

ilt yes afaik he does still post on mn but under a different name now. Presumably now that his party is part of the coalition it would not be good for him to be posting under his usual name. Unfortunately he has a very well-recognized posting style though..

Quite.

I don't work for SS and have never had anything to do with them. But I've seen enough of this man on here to form an opinion.

How come folk on Twitter couldn't get away with saying 'Ryan Giggs' yet he gets away with spouting such guff on MN...and saying 'Ryan Giggs'.

Can't MN report him to erm someone or sumthin.

I don't know much about JL but I do know that he has helped several women keep their babies.

If only for that, you should show him some respect.

Is he now known as ThatGuy or something? He was also MelvinsComment I think? He reads as rambling, ignorant, stupid and angry; that's the recognisable posting style I think.
