AIBU?

..if I leave the washing up until the Tesco man brings my Marigolds?

I've spent months trying to grow my nails, giving myself a manicure is the only 'not-mummy' thing I do these days. So DH used the Marigolds to take the rubbish out (he has germ issues, and is also a bit of a girl) and when he closed the garden gate he snagged them on a nail and threw them away. I've been washing up without them and now my nails are brittle and going to break very soon. So today I'm refusing to wash up until my new pair come tomorrow. Between 4 and 6 pm Shock
Its fine, right? DC's and I are out all day....its only DH who'll suffer, serves him right for being a girl.

Nope, YADNBU. I hate washing up without gloves with a passion. No idea why but it sends shivers down me just thinking of it!

Not just because of your nails, it's all those floaty bits of food that make it barftastic.

What's wrong with your DH doing the washing up? He can scrub up to surgical standard before & after if he's got isshoos.

Here's a plan: buy him a pinny and some girly rubber gloves, those ones with feathers/mock diamond rings or Cath Kidston-style , and put him on permanent washing up duty.

If he's none too keen, get him to buy a dishwasher and you'll both be happy - you with your Fu-Manchu nails and him with super-clean and hygenic crockery/cutlery/utensils.

Tip: OPI Nail Envy solved my flaky breaky nail problem.
