Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Well I locked myself out of my flat today rather stupidly and had to pay £40 for the privelege of a 5 second job by a locksmith to get me back in. I actually considered borrowing a ladder and climbing the 3 floors and in my bedroom window but wasn't brave enough, I'm pretty high up. Bah! DS is being really tricky right now, my mum now thinks it's proving her point and I should be smacking him more. Gah! The harder I come down on him the worse his behaviour gets, I wish she could see that. Distraction and praise seem to work best but he is really testing the boundaries right now

And terrible 3s.....can i join in for a bit before I go to bed soon. And I just have to ask a question if any of you know...my DD 8.5mths has chicken pox, it's spreading quite quickly. Is it normal to get the spots around genital area? Just wondering because can't think of who else to ask. My DP says yes, but is it ok?

Mmm Teaandcakeplease, sorry you've had a bad day. It's hard when the little one's are being testing, sometimes I've been in tears over my DS, just cause I don't know how to deal with him and end up shouting then feeling guilty

Where it's hottest they're the worst, so in the hair, under the nappy etc. Go nappy free as much as possible for now, keep them cool with calpol and piriton for itching and bath them with added bicarbonate of soda helps too to dry the spots out. My two had it at the same time last Summer when it was hot, they must've spent hours in the cool bath together with water toys.

So do you think it's better not to use wipes on her for the moment, just cotton wool and water...and bath her...okay. Luckily she doesn't seem to be so discomforted on account of being so little. Thanks Teaandcake, sorry for hijacking

If they're fragrance free why not? I'm just thinking she might be sore down there and maybe some nice aloe ones would be good? But water is a very good idea too. Awww bless her the spots come up over several days, they can appear for up to 5 days I think?

I remember we (my mom, brother and I) got locked out of the house once and my mom got stuck in the window trying to get in...my brother and I were rolling around on the grass actually screaming with laughter. Not the most helpful thing at the time :o

LOL Cheerful, I can envision that only as years ago DH unilaterally decided that I should be the one to climb through the second storey window (I'm afraid of heights but he wouldn't fit!) and found himself in fits of uncontrollable laughter watching my efforts. So I've got sympathy for your mum!

I feel your pain Tea, I was hosed by the locksmith for locking my keys in the vehicle...twice in the same (very stressful) week. Given the cost, I may just break a window if it happens again!
