Yabu.
Was it a very small branch?
I plan to have my ashes scattered in Waitrose, preferably near the fresh fish counter.

Great supermarket - but their meat is always off before the expiration date. And they sell meat that will expire the very next day! Appalling.

I had a rant at the manager in M&S food at Westfield recently. You know they sell pet food but nothing for babies? NOTHING?

I work near a very very small waitrose, but it has a much better variety of things I want than a similar sized tesco express or small co op.

porcamiseria - is it like Tiffany's? Breakfast at Waitrose?

Gemsy83 · 05/01/2011 22:19

I tend to think a lot of people like it because it costs more and makes them feel generally superior....I await a good old flaming but thats mho.

YABU - Waitrose is amazing.

The only thing they don't have a big range of is vile freezer/processed shite, thank goodness!

TrillianAstra · 05/01/2011 22:19

Yes, Waitrose is a tiny bit like Tiffany's, except you can actually buy breakfast foods there. :)

They vary, they do tend to be slightly on the small side in general though.

Limited in what way?

Our Waitrose appears to sell pretty much what you would expect any decent sized supermarket to sell. OK, it doesn't sell lots of clothes but then i don't need that from a supermarket personally. But for other supermarket needs it seems to be normal to me.

Ohhhhh No Thinkofanumber - really !!! wonderful

sadly I have no tesco near me :(

The only thing wrong with Waitrose is that they do not sell milk chocolate chips. The only sell their own brand of chocolate chunks. Which are huge. And sometimes only a real chocolate chip will do.

Other than that, Waitrose rocks.
