never thought it would float my boat, babeinthewood, but we got it for the DCs for Christmas, and I just can't leave it alone. And by myself I'll be able to sing very loudly too GrinGrin

But school holidays are just too long, aren't they? A week would do fine!

:o I completely agree, the summer holiday feels more like 6 months, and by the end of it, you cant stand the kids, they cant stand you or each other!! you could even say it goes so far as damages the family dynamics :-P lol

I'm quite keen for them to go back to school. Not for my benefit - I think they are missing their friends and their routine. WinkGrin

I must be the only one that isn't looking forward to school this week.

Ds and I didn't wake up till 9am this morning. Its been lovely and a lot less stress than getting up at 6.30 in the dark and rushing to get to school for 8.10.

I hate school. Love the holidays. DS gets up climbs in my bed and we snooze, have breakfast, play games, stay up late.

Why would you like getting up early and rushing around.

Am on the fence i must say!
so glad they are going back-the big two are a baw hair away from seriously damaging each other!a sly kick here, crafty slap there etc etc.
having said that i am not an early morning person, and the thought of getting up in the dark is not one that fills me (nor dd for that matter!) with joy! i quite like having all three in bed snuggling while we watch some tv. Grin

In a weird way I was kind of glad to go back to work for the same reasons. Routine, etc.

DD is so ready to go back to school. By the time she does, she will have been off for nearly a month.
She gets out of her routine and is a total disaster to get back into.
As she has friendship issues, she hasn't seen another child for about three weeks and her first social outing is on Friday.
Can't wait for DH to go back either Wink

My children do not go back until the 24th. It is the summer hols here in Brisbane. I am currently unemployed (but looking for a job) and am enjoying the late lie ins and the relaxed approach to everything. My two, 12 and 15, enjoy each other's company, sleep in, watch dvds, spend hours in the pool and just chill. They meet up with friends from time to time but seem to prefer to hang out with me Grin.

We have spent hours just chatting about stuff and laughing a lot. It is lovely.
