To get pissed because my kids irritate me

I love my kids but......

My 20 year old is home from Uni and he is ill. He is genuinely ill but he refuses to stay in his room and has taken up the big sofa in the lounge for 3 days now. He stinks and he is vomiting all the time (I have taken him to Docs who says it is a virus).

I have been emptying his vomit bucket whilst retching at the same time, I am very cross (inwardly).

He is a tyrant, moaning about the lights, the tv, our talking and barking orders re drinks. Did I mention he absolutely stinks and I have offered to run him a bath "to make him feel better" several thousand times. I want to throw away my sofa when he is better.

DS2 is also at the stage of asking loads of questions "Mum - you know coyotes? Why aren't they dogs?" "Mum - you know bananas - why do they go brown?".

And we got a puppy 10 days ago.

I am going nuts!

Why are you moaning about looking after your own child. My son is home from Uni and I love it. If I had to run around after him I would love that too.

He drops his clothes everywhere, he stays up real late. He sleeps in till 2pm, who cares, my son is home, whoooopeeeee.

If my kid was sick Id have him on the sofa so I could keep an eye on him.

Presumably you need an hour off for beating the children with pokers and making them eat coal - so 15 units. Unless you are an exceptional mother and can beat and drink at the same time.

your older son does NOT need a bucket. He can make it to the loo, he can stay in his room - you will all be infected otherwise. You can tell him you love him but its not nice to have someone puking in the living room (for whatever reason).

then you can answer your younger child's interesting questions about the world.
