Just... ..vile shock

classydiva Mon 13-Dec-10 21:35:11

Id expect to see a granny in it.

overmydeadbody Mon 13-Dec-10 21:35:11

Oh God yes I agree

overmydeadbody Mon 13-Dec-10 21:35:45

grannies and invalids would be fine wearing them though.

emsyj Mon 13-Dec-10 21:35:53

They are vile, yes, but I sort of want one....

faverolles Mon 13-Dec-10 21:37:12

Yes, you are right. Vile.
adds to Christmas list

NurseGladys Mon 13-Dec-10 21:37:21

oh ffs, I just spotted these at the bottom of the page, am picturing camel hoofs a go-go with these, and where would you wear one? A fetish party?

QuickLookBusySanta Mon 13-Dec-10 21:37:54

Ewwwww wouldnt want to look at my DH in one of them!

But I bet they're blooming warmgrin

TequilaMockinBird Mon 13-Dec-10 21:38:33

You can make your own slanket anyway - just wear your dressing gown back to front grin

Curlybrunette Mon 13-Dec-10 21:38:35

Ha! My auntie is a QVC freak and she bought about 6 for various members of my family last Xmas. In a wide variety of colours to try and match their sofa's...

I wasn't one of the lucky ones to get one, and tho I may scoff, when at my mum's I do sometimes snuggle under her's (auntie bought both mum and dad one!) and they are amazingly warm.

Erm, a bit old lady-ish but I wouldn't call them vile so yes I think you're being a bit unreasonable

HollyBollyBooBoo Mon 13-Dec-10 21:39:07

Aswell as being vile aren't they totally impractical? They look so long that you'd be tripping over them.

NurseGladys Mon 13-Dec-10 21:40:18

Now, if they had them in a fetching tartan, that might not be so bad....

mogwhistle Mon 13-Dec-10 21:40:37

Morphsuit - roffling at advice re fluids grin

QuickLookBusySanta Mon 13-Dec-10 21:41:24

I meant the blanket, not the fetish party attire. My DD[16] has just said those are very "in" and some of her friends at college have them! hmm

ilovemyfestivehens Mon 13-Dec-10 21:41:24

he he

NurseGladys Mon 13-Dec-10 21:41:57

I like the picture showing someone meditating in a Slanket, am wondering what else (apart from spiritual enlightenment) can be achieved in a slanket hmm

APixieInMyTea Mon 13-Dec-10 21:42:40

My mom bought me one last Xmas, still haven't forgiven her.

It got cut up and it is now used as liners for my boys' cloth nappies. grin

mistletoeploppy Mon 13-Dec-10 21:42:46

I like mine blush

It's a double one - two sets of sleeves so dh and I can both get in grin

Coffeebeans Mon 13-Dec-10 21:45:19

have you seen the tv ad? The whole family are cheerfully wearing them. Just makes me wonder if they forgot to pay the heating!

NurseGladys Mon 13-Dec-10 21:46:54

NurseGladys Mon 13-Dec-10 21:47:51

mistletoe is it possible then to get intimate in a Slanket?

mogwhistle Mon 13-Dec-10 21:48:19

ilovemy I am crying with laughter at that - genius!

mistletoeploppy Mon 13-Dec-10 21:50:35

Possible, NurseGladys, but unlikely...
