YANBU. Does anyone remember the advert of the andrex puppy and the duck that used to come out at Christmas? Now that advert was great would make me feel proper christmassy. Xmas Smile

weird computer puppies aren't really doing it for me this year.

OMG yes I just saw it - really freaky! I thought it was an ad for a new Nintendogs type thing! Horrible.

YANBU at all. It must be a sign of getting older, because I really get quite cross when they tinker with things that work perfectly well.

Bring back the puppy!

I've just seen it and thought they were quite cute actually, obviously I'm alone in thinking that! Smile

Interesting! I think it shows that they have got their target market a bit wrong, after all, it's us that remembers to buy loo roll! Unless they think there is untapped "pester power" in the under 12s for bog paper Hmm

Maybe sales of air freshener did actually go up after the "poo at Paul's" advert and they think kids are a secret market for bathroom accoutrements.

Report
MadameDefarge · 11/12/2010 19:49

oh dear God, please no, not the poo at Paul's...that scraped barrels previously thought to be buried under several layers of secret toxic waste....

I quite liked the poo at Paul advert - seeing a child using the air freshener on a voluntary basis gave me hope

Mummynumber2 · 11/12/2010 20:17

Lol Madame I still won't be buying Andrex though Grin.

I'm completely with everyone on the 'poo at pauls' ad though! About as bad as it can possibly get imo.

maisie! I don't know what to say! DS and I have a mantra we chant every time an air freshner advert comes on which is "open the window!"

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 11/12/2010 20:55

Ahh, but there are 2 issues with that here in our house - 1. the key to the window in one of our loos is missing, so spraying is essential, and 2. an open window take a while to clear the eau de poo. A short blast of the air freshener (and a squirt of bleach if it's particularly noxious) prior to an open window please! Grin

I haven't see it, but will look out for it!

I don't use 'house' air freshners as I agree - open the blardy windows! But need a bathroom one as it doesn't have a window and is in the middle of the house so we can't put one in.

Report
MadameDefarge · 11/12/2010 21:05

Ah, well, in cases of bathrooms without window, I am wholly amenable to air freshners.....

otherwise, tis a case of of "out damn pong"!

Nope, you will never get it right. Ever. If you just accept that fact now, you will save yourself years of heartache!

'Unless they think there is untapped "pester power" in the under 12s for bog paper' - You mean your children don't pester you for loo roll and cleaning produce and it's just mine that does that? Xmas Angry

dd1 wanted to buy my mum some 'Cillit Bang and the dirt is gone' for x-mas last year. She was adamant that her Nana would like that better than chocolate Xmas Grin
