Why is the world anti-English?
Eurovision song contest we have good songs but nobody votes for us

the world cup was given to forigners

and this really makes my blood boil,I am sat here fumming

We only get 3 cheeses in the top 50
oooooooh I am cross
America with 14 that is utter bollocks
bloody foriegners they can stick there plastic/rip off cheese up there arses

LostArt Thu 09-Dec-10 12:20:52

It's a well known fact that 'thefiftybest.com' knows diddly squat about cheese.

fedupofnamechanging Thu 09-Dec-10 12:24:17

I think you are taking the cheese thing a bit too seriously tbh. In the great scheme of things there are far greater injustices going on in the world than England being robbed of its rightful position in the great cheese chart!

I do think we should boycott the Eurovision though because of it is no longer about the songs.

AbsofLatkes Thu 09-Dec-10 12:25:30

What?! The US get 14 best cheeses, while France gets 11?! That's crazy talk. Not only do the French know how to make good cheese, they know how to cook it brilliantly as well. Example from restaurant in North of France: tranches of baguette soaked in cream and beer, covered with cheese and baked in an oven. droooooooooooooooooooooooool

SoupDragon Thu 09-Dec-10 12:27:25

How the fuck did America get 14 top cheeses??

The American cheeses look like rip offs of European cheeses though.

'Constant bliss' looks like Brie.

'American Farmhouse Cheddar' doesn't even try to disguise that it's a Cheddar.

'San Joaquin Gold' is parmesan...

mrsruffallo Thu 09-Dec-10 12:33:25

That's a crappy list

SGM- I think it was a tongue in cheek remark

PatFig Thu 09-Dec-10 12:36:27

get of your high horse and take that stick out of your arese

Ok I will put what?
Non English
people who live abroad

I am sorry but in my bigoted little world people who live in forign countrys are forigners

LostArt Thu 09-Dec-10 12:38:08

PatFig don't look at their 50 best chocolate (England 1 vs US 25) shock

mayorquimby Thu 09-Dec-10 12:39:16

"the world cup was given to forigners"

I know. It's a disgrace. If they're not going to award it to England the least they could do is not give it to the foreigners.

wayoftheworld Thu 09-Dec-10 12:40:20

Yeap ... this thread is crap!! Nuls points!

mrsruffallo Thu 09-Dec-10 12:41:47

No way- they beat us at chocolate too?
Who wrote these lists? Barack Obama?

Presumably its a US website and the suggestions have come from Americans. Add your own!

Pretty hmm that the entries for England are Cheddar, Stichelton (not tried it, maybe its better than other Stiltons) and 'American Farmhouse Cheddar' confused

If you had to make a list of the worst 50 cheese (and cheese-like products) I have little doubt the US would be the undisputed champions.

grin

Try this equally fake-looking but much more Brit-centric website. I'm concerned about your blood pressure.

noyoucant Thu 09-Dec-10 12:57:30

Bloody forigners! Coming over here, taking our jobs (and World Cup), spelling our words correctly...

and the cheese - don't forget them taking the cheese - noyoucant...

EatingAngelPie Thu 09-Dec-10 13:03:22

no mention of..yarg, stinking bishop, leicester, gloucester..cheshire, cream cheese, shropshire blue, ..and odd that it is England not 'The UK' in which case you could throw in Welsh Goats Cheese..

StockingsAtCrapOClock Thu 09-Dec-10 13:03:34

<<grabs World Cup close to self>>

'It's our World Cup. Get your own...'

Mmm, the Nantwich cheese show. I love living in easy distance of that

Kirk1 Thu 09-Dec-10 13:08:46

Have you tried stinking bishop? It's foul (and you have to keep it hermetically sealed to stop it from stinking out the fridge)
