...that DS (3.6 yrs old) is pee'd at me because "Mummy makes rubbish paper aeroplanes"..... Hmm

Oh, it's been a very long, house-bound day!

Very!

I can do most things...

DS has now just said he hopes FC will bring him a 'better' paper aeroplane!

Right, time for early bath me thinks!

YANBU.

The look of utter distain I get when I make Ready Brek slightly too thick upsets me.

I also make rubbish paper aeroplanes, but I did manage to impress with those fortune teller things made out of paper. Try those.

I never get the porridge right - "Daddy doesn't make it like that" - Grrrrr!!!

fortune teller things ??????

I might see if FC has a book on how to make them, in his sack!

Second thoughts, I might just be asking for trouble....

You know, the things that you hold with your thumb and index finger from both hands, and then open it and close it and count how many times to decide which bit to open. Then there's a dare or your fortune written inside.

I'm really not explaining this very well am I? I hope someone more articulate knows what I mean!

Well, was it rubbish? [hard stare emoticon].

I have to say, the half hour I spent learning to make a really decent one has not been wasted. You can always lay your hand on a sheet of paper, so instant toy.

Esp. useful when stuck at airport waiting for grandma. Huge kudos and about half a dozen kids round me begging for one. My 15 min of fame, I think... Grin

YANBU, & neither am I when I feel a little smug when DS says to DP "you can't play cars, you're rubbish at doing the voices!" Xmas Wink, ps DS cars talk to each other to relieve (sp?) the tedium of 'regular' playing with cars Xmas Grin

Simply say 'Me too and while you're about it ask him if he can...

Do the shopping
Make the beds
Do the washing
Do the housework
Take you to nursery
Tidy up your toys
Make your breakfast/lunch/dinner
Buy your clothes
Take you nice places
Read to you
Play with you
Cuddle you
Buy you treats'

Else just smile, say yes darling and put him to bed as early as possible Grin

CurlyMama - I know what you mean!

They are great! Until they are old enough to read I make them with colours and do pictures inside so they can still do them themselves and if you know their favourite number you can put 'run around the house 10x' on theirs and 'kiss someone you love' on yours!! Grin
