retweeted by accident my arse

ironic that even after the "apology" she retweeted another comment by the same follower - apparently.

You think Katie Price^'s media persona^ is vile.

I'm sure when she's eating some soup or watching TV or playing frisbee with her kid or reading a magazine she is perfectly inoffensive.

MrManager Thu 02-Dec-10 22:24:15

Bloody italics. Katie Price's media persona .

EminentlyImminent Thu 02-Dec-10 22:26:42

Not so vile that the Terence Higgins Trust aren't falling over themselves to work alongside her. Weird.

wannaBe - you're not Jodie Marsh in disguise are you?

sunshineriver Thu 02-Dec-10 22:29:43

If we didn't talk about her and read about her - she would bother us much less

AgentZigzag Thu 02-Dec-10 22:31:07

I feel sorry for people when they start playing games with the media, cos it looks like they're of the belief that the world the media cinstructs is a real one.

Mum2HarryandBen Thu 02-Dec-10 22:31:35

Sometimes I like her sometimes I don't, the same for Pete really, they are both similar! insecure, into themselves, money and fame hungry, ok, nice enough people, who love their kids and drama!

GypsyMoth Thu 02-Dec-10 22:31:48

she's not exactly got a normal life as a starting point has she?

spikeycow Thu 02-Dec-10 22:35:49

I hate Pete. I think he let his family run her down, and he's got a nasty side. He was also gurning on TV while he was rowing with her and he looked terrifying. She is massively insecure and I don't reckon being with him helped

Mum2HarryandBen Thu 02-Dec-10 22:39:32

Spikeycow, I did not like the fact he gets his brother to bleech Juniors hair since he was a baby and attacked her for putting false eye lashes on Princess for a few moments and straightening her hair a few times! it is hypocritical!

I didn't like the way he put her down and used an incomplete quote, because she said that she would not include the children in her work because Junior was being teased at school, unless they asked to be included, he said he loved the children and they would remain in his show!

Saying that I do find them both facinating as I don't know anyone like that in real life! Overall they are not bad people!

quaffer Thu 02-Dec-10 22:39:37

What MrManager and sunshineriver say. Don't read about her if you don't like her!

spikeycow Thu 02-Dec-10 22:43:29

On the show she was on the back foot a lot of the time with him. He was very subtle about it

Mum2HarryandBen Thu 02-Dec-10 23:02:36

spikeycow, they were both as bad / good, as one another from what I could see, he loves being the victim doesn't he, she loves being in control doesn't she and don't they both love to show that side of themselves, all that complaint about lack of sex during the marriage, he has not exactly made up for lost time since leaving has he? She is having the same marriage again different person this time imho! I feel for her that after the m/c she is finding it hard to have another baby! I record both their shows, I have a feeling he favors Princess over Junior, and he has not made it his top priority to find and interview nannies for Harvey, he was going on about it for about six months, pretending he was trying his best, yeah right, I am sure he loves the boy, I get the feeling he was quite happy to not see loads of him!

Portofino Thu 02-Dec-10 23:05:11

Why does anyone care? I agree that watching some of this carcrash tv can be highly entertaining - I was a big fan of the misguided girls at the Playboy mansion. These people aren't all EVIL you know, they just know how to manipulate the media to earn a buck. The best and only thing to do is to ignore them

Santassnowyoldclothcatpuss Fri 03-Dec-10 00:15:37

Don't like her. sorry she does my head in!

Cazzybaby Fri 03-Dec-10 19:40:26

We are very quick to criticise the weaknesses in other people. For me she is a role model in the way that she has bought up her disabled son Harvey. In her last show the development in his speach and language was amazing to see. Well done Katie

classydiva Fri 03-Dec-10 19:41:35

Personally I think she publicises too much of her private life. She is vile.

classydiva Fri 03-Dec-10 19:42:59

How has she bought him up when she is constantly working, he stays with child minders or nannies all the time. it is those individuals who should be applauded not her.

She pays for him to get the treatment he gets.

If we had children like Harvey would we be able to afford to get him the treatment he has had?

Probably not, but then again we could always get our tits out and publicise our private lives to get it.

Mum2HarryandBen Fri 03-Dec-10 19:45:34

Has she had her tits out since Harvey was born?

Cazzybaby Fri 03-Dec-10 19:47:24

I'm a working mum with a disabled child however when I am not at work I play a huge role in her life being her mother! funny that! SAHM by any chance 'classy?

brownsauce Fri 03-Dec-10 19:58:10

How do you know that she is constantly working classydiva?

And to be fair, I don't think that she has had her tits out for years, just been a very savvy girl and made a fortune.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but fair play to her I say, if I had the money to pay for extra treatment for my kids I would do, no harm in that if I've earned it myself is it?

saffy85 Fri 03-Dec-10 20:57:26

She's a nasty cow at times but Saint Peter is a whole different kind of nasty. Also does anyone else role their eyes when he witters on that about "I really love my kids"? Their your children you douchebag! loving them goes with the fucking terrority! <and breathe!>

saffy85 Fri 03-Dec-10 20:57:52

They're not their obviously....

ModreB Fri 03-Dec-10 20:58:27

Sorry, but unless you know her in person in RL, YABU.

saffy85 Fri 03-Dec-10 21:02:11

My DP met her when she was about 21 when he was a labourer and she was out riding her horse. said she was as common as muck and pretty dense but she wasn't up herself. I don't like her public persona but it works for her- we are talking about her right now grin
