I have an elderly hairdryer which can only be switched on at the mains since I trod on it last summer and broke the on/off switch <ahem>. This morning it refused to work at all. I swore a bit and DH (half-asleep) said 'Oh well that'll be handy for christmas then'. Later I mentioned I'd be getting a new one in my lunch hour and he said 'but it's nearly christmas'.

Just because he shaves his head is no excuse for being stupid! I have hair that channels Wurzel Gummidge!

Wait til christmas is what you say to children from November onwards when they ask for something.

If it wasn't you, Orm, I'd suspect you were taking the piss out of that Boots perfume ad... were you sitting at your dressing table talking loudly about CK1 when it happened? wink

YANBU - go buy the thing and make him use his imagination on your pressie!
