on ebay. I don't even really like christmas pudding plus my auntie always sends down a christmas pudding to have at mum and dad's. Have seen some going for £100+. I bought it to have boxing day with inlaws but am sure they'd be happy with a nice M&S one.

Have realised this is my second aibu in a day. This is the last one from me for a long time.

£100+?!!!! YANBU - do it!!!

MmeLindt Sun 28-Nov-10 21:35:42

If you can get £100 then go for it.

Leslaki Sun 28-Nov-10 21:37:40

sell, sell, sell!!!

FakePlasticTrees Sun 28-Nov-10 21:38:20

YANBU - sell it, get another one if you want for boxing day, but I tend to find no one really wants Christmas pudding on boxing day as it's a bit samey as the day before.

Tesco have their finest ones on sale at the mo.

aristomache Sun 28-Nov-10 21:38:44

Jaysus! Why are you even asking?

kreecherlivesupstairs Sun 28-Nov-10 21:38:46

For a pudding? Some people have much more money than sense.

Iamcountingto3 Sun 28-Nov-10 21:39:09

£100 - seriously? People are insane. Sell.

ASecretLemonadeDrinker Sun 28-Nov-10 21:39:21

Fuck me sideways! How much was it to buy? I wish I bought one now, but I thought "urgh, I don't like that much orange". Stupid middle class twats paying £100 for a Christmas pudding that's in vogue!

Ladyface Sun 28-Nov-10 21:40:14

YANBU! £100 for a christmas pudding? Sell it I say. Who are these mugs paying that sort of money for a dessert?

MummyBerryJuice Sun 28-Nov-10 21:40:15

What is this £100 Christmas piddingnof which you speak? Surely not. Was it actually hand made by Heston?

ASecretLemonadeDrinker Sun 28-Nov-10 21:40:25

haha one joker has theirs up for £245!

MmeLindt Sun 28-Nov-10 21:41:54

you cannot buy one now, they are totally sold out. And the bugger won't give out the recipe.

MummyBerryJuice Sun 28-Nov-10 21:42:00

Pudding of which, obviously blush. Damn phone.

ASecretLemonadeDrinker Sun 28-Nov-10 21:42:59

Imagine it was actually rank. £13.99 it cost according to Ocado. Mugs.

MummyBerryJuice Sun 28-Nov-10 21:44:25

lol lemonadedrinker I'm sure that's worth £100 wink

BelligerentGhoul Sun 28-Nov-10 21:46:04

Good God - yes, sell it. If people are stupid enough to pay that much then you might as well take advantage of the fact that they are morons.

Give the in-laws an M&S one with a clementine on the side!

RockinRobinBird Sun 28-Nov-10 21:47:01

My mum was desperate for one but they're sold out everywhere. Now I know its because ticket tout-esque greedy fuckers are selling them on eBay.

MummyBerryJuice Sun 28-Nov-10 21:48:32

Ah. I see

Madness. Utter madness (not you OP. YADNBU)

wildmutt Sun 28-Nov-10 21:51:30

It's the posh one with the candid orange in the middle. It is supposedly very tasty (according to my friend who works at waitrose and tasted it in the staff dining room last week!). It cost me £13.99 which is steep but for special treat I thought ok.

Right you've convinced me. I'll call it karma for the ridiculous go go pet fiasco I got fleeced carried away with on ebay last year blush.

wildmutt Sun 28-Nov-10 21:55:27

that's candied orange. smile

SoupDragon Sun 28-Nov-10 21:57:30

The mere thought of a whole candied orange in the middle makes me want to throw up.

SoupDragon Sun 28-Nov-10 21:58:10

have you seen them actually sold for £100 BTW?

Ladyface Sun 28-Nov-10 22:00:41

There is one with a bid of £77 and a couple at £50-£60.

Antalya1 Sun 28-Nov-10 22:00:44

sell...there's one with a reserve price of £499.99!!!!! OMG my DC's won't even get that amount in pressies!!!
