tis a tip....

HecateQueenOfWitches Sat 27-Nov-10 06:49:22

or you could shut the door on it and make it your husband's problem?

are you being unreasonable? Dunno. depends. Are you kidding / moaning? then no. Do you want to take the room away from him because it's messy? then yes. Does your husband have a study while your son sleeps on a campbed in the kitchen? then no.

grin

Need more info

FWIW, if mess is your only problem, my DH works from home a lot and has an office room. It's ALWAYS a tip but I refuse to clean it - his mess, his problem. Eventually, it gets too much even for his standards and he does clean it out!

My DH has our 3rd bedroom as a study come tip. Means the 2 boys have to share but as he does work from home at least a couple of times a week the only alternative would be at the dining room table which really isn't practical .....( it also houses is guitars and general gadgetry and currently you couldn't swing a mouse !

badfairy Sat 27-Nov-10 07:35:12

Oh by the way......I just shut the door.

ClockworkCinders Sat 27-Nov-10 09:54:15

no

he does not work from home

and we can barely get to the computer

he has boxes unpacked

rubbish everywhere

ds has a room

but it is at the front of the house
and can be very loud,,

and the study has a connecting door to kitchen

which dh keeps shut

so my kitchen

is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
dark

ClockworkCinders Sat 27-Nov-10 14:53:31

from too cramped to too much

oh well

ClockworkCinders Sat 27-Nov-10 14:54:37

ps

but Im always in the kitchen....

echt Sat 27-Nov-10 16:35:10

OK - I was just about to kick off on a rant about women not getting their own space.

However, if the kitchen's too dark to work in, I'd want to get that sorted.

Why do men get rooms? I don't understand this. My husband has one too. Fair enough, we wouldn't be able to use it for anything else as it's one of those "bedrooms that's too small to put an actual bed in". It's full of computer parts, guitars, and weapons.

He doesn't work from home either. I'd like a room. I'm a teacher, I have a desk in the corner of the living room to work at, or I use the dining room table.

The garage is full of his crap too, so there's no room to put the car in it.
