for their lack of sales, when it's the retailers who have cut down on what stock they have available?

Retailers are blaming an online store for their lack of sales with PC games, even though over the last 5 years or so most retailers have been cutting back on what PC games they actually have available for sale!

It's impressive how ignorant they are of their own performance. They cannot shift this blame.

If it wasn't for services like Steam, PC gaming would be really struggling as no one knew (or could get) what was out there, and publishers weren't being given the opportunity to market their PC games in stores.
