AIBU?

to think that if you go to yoga class and have a verruca or scabby blister on your foot, you should leave your blardy socks on?

I went to a yoga class last night. There was a woman in front of me with two lumpy yukky nasty things on the underside of her foot. Such was their extensive awfulness that my eyes kept being drawn to them throughout the class. I felt outraged that she should inflict this on fellow yoga attendees, because a) it looked like a multi-faceted verucca and she would have been rubbing it all over the load mat and floor and b) even if it wasn't a verucca it was a scabby blister and at least ought to have had a dressing on in case it started to bleed or whatever and c) we are there to contemplate the universe whilst doing well stretchy things, and not worry if we are about to get a disease from someone.

Flogging is simply too good for these people with their publicly exposed foot infections.

That should have read loan mat.
I am still so outraged I can't type properly.

It could have had that Bazuka gel stuff on which forms a covering over the actual verruca.

Having said that, I always left my socks on in Pilates anyway. With no verrucas.

I had not thought of that, but personally speaking I would have had more respect for people's feet sensibilities.

That is disgusting, YANBU!

People like that are plain sefish and inconsiderate. As well as being gross.

Put a yoga mat on your Christmas list and take your own.

YABU - during yoga glass you are ment to be looking at your nose or fingertips or other gaze points, not looking around the room or at other people in the class. As my yoga teacher always says, if you're not doing the gaze & the breathing you're doing gymnastics NOT yoga Smile

I think you really do need to do yoga in bare feet but if you have scabby infections feet you really should bring your OWN MAT! It's best to take your won mat if you can - feet can be so very yukky & contagious.

I clocked her nasty feet before the class started, and I am a beginner so need help with gazing, not pathological feet placed in front on my nose to distract me.

In the yoga place we have to take out shoes off at the front door, so she will have padded her nasty feet around everywhere as well.

Maybe I should have asked her outright whether they were infectious. Or waved a joss stick over them to fumigate things. Taken the initiative.
